Advocacy Training “All Equal – All visible” in Bugojno and Pale

In the period from 24 to 27 May 2018. CURE Foundation organized advocacy training in Bugojno and in Pale. Trainings are part of the Strategic Program “All Equal – All visible” which CURE Foundation is implementing since last year.

In the course of active work the participants have mastered the techniques of creating advocacy actions in their local community, as well as developing a SWOT analysis. They were introduced to the PitchWise Festival of Women’s Art and Activism organized every year by the CURE Foundation and all the participants were invited to join us at the festival this year.

We mapped all the potential allies in advocacy and lobbying processes. They highlighted that education for them is important for further work processes in all social aspects of solving the problems they face on a daily basis.

The training was attended by representatives from women organizations “Burma” and “Donna” Bugojno association, as well as representatives of “Jake žene” Pale and Women’s Association “Viktorija” Pale. The training also brought together representatives of the informal group of women “Bugojanke”, which was created last year through the workshop “All equal – all visible” realized by the CURE Foundation.

The training was accompanied by the media broadcasting program of Bugojno RTV Informator.

The participants emphasized that this was their first meeting with advocacy strategies and that the knowledge they gained through training would be used in further planning and advocacy processes to improve the position of women and girls in the BiH society.
