CURE Foundation and Buducnost Modriča, with support of IAMANEH, are implementing the project Women in Politics financed by the Swiss Confederation, represented by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, acting through the Embassy of Switzerland – SDC
The project “Women in Politics” (WiP), which runs from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, aims to empower women in politics at the local level in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), enhancing their participation and leadership to foster more inclusive governance. It is a collaborative effort between local implementing organizations Foundation CURE and Budućnost, and international partner IAMANEH Switzerland. By leveraging technical expertise and financial resources, the project focuses on capacity-building, advocacy, and gender election monitoring to address gender disparities in political representation. The implementation strategy adopts a gender-transformative approach, challenging patriarchal norms and empowering women as leaders in politics. It emphasizes comprehensive support through training, mentorship, and intra-party alliances. Human rights principles guide the project, ensuring the realization of fundamental rights for all participants.
