ADVOCACY MEETINGS– “ALL EQUAL ALL VISIBLE“

In February 2018, the CURE Foundation organized two advocacy meetings entitled “ALL EQUAL ALL VISIBLE” in Tuzla and Pale.

The meetings were a part of the CURE Foundation’s program of empowerment and a part of the activities through the project “Women’s Advocacy for Gender Equality – a follow up”.

The meeting brought together 32 participants with a basic focus on problems affecting women at the local level.

Participants from Pale emphasized that the newly formed Women’s Association “Viktorija” Pale started the application process for funds and that the meeting that was held helped them get answers to some issues related to the application processes.

In Tuzla, a proposal was made to work on activities related to the organization of the first 8th of March march, as in the other cities in BiH. After the advocacy meetings, some participants joined the organization of the first 8th of March march held in Tuzla on the occasion of March the 8th – International Women’s Day.

Representatives of the “New Women’s Initiative” and representatives of the advocacy group H.O. The Horizons from Tuzla that attended the meeting believe that advocacy seminars have an important role in further processes of change they want to create.

In 2018, the CURE Foundation will organize advocacy trainings through the above mentioned program, which will include other mapped areas in addition to Tuzla and Pale.

The trainings will enable the capacity building of representatives of women’s organizations, informal groups and activists to become more involved in advocacy processes in order to create changes to improve the position of women and girls.
