The Foundation “CURE” and CARE International Balkans supports the integration in BiH society of migrant\refugee women and girls

The Foundation “CURE” and CARE International Balkans organisation have launched the initiative “Support in the process of integration in BiH society of migrant\refugee women and girls”. Support goes in several directions, and in addition to providing basic needs, women and girls are given the opportunity to work as well.

“The key to more efficient integration is work habit. That is why Foundation “CURE” provides a space where work habits can be achieved through the form of volunteering. Also, we plan to create work tasks within the capabilities and knowledge of users, in order to meet their interests “, said Vedrana Frašto from the CURE Foundation.

By this initiative is planned to include work in the offices of the Foundation “CURE” and on the field, so the beneficiaries could successfully exchange the knowledge and experiences needed for ensured self-empowerment.

We certainly believe that BiH society needs to be open to change in order for the integration process to proceed as well as possible. Our organization always aims to empower women, and we believe that with this initiative we will create a successful environment for a healthy, educational and diverse experience – said Frašto.

Upon completion of the initiative, beneficiaries will have a clearer vision of their role in BiH society and will be educated on women’s rights in BiH, the functioning of the civil sector in BiH, but also have a clearer insight into the legal framework of BiH from the perspective of Law on Gender Equality, Law on Prohibition of Discrimination, family law and international documents.

“CARE International Balkans recognizes the needs of women and girls in its work, and works in that direction to find adequate solutions for the benefit of women. This time we focused on women and girls on the move, more precisely on facilitating the processes of their integration into our society, which we consider extremely important. We hope that this will be an initiative, which will be a motivation for others to act in this direction to “, concluded Azra Imamović from CARE International Balkans organization. CARE International Balkans supports this initiative as part of the project “Supporting the Needs of Refugees, Migrants and Asylum Seekers in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
